This was an art request for a friend who wanted three Christmas-themed chibi Disney Princess bookmarks. This was my take on the request. Illustrations were created in PaintTool SAI and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop.

This was an art request, sample design project for a game idea that unfortunately never went further. The requester was actually the same person who asked me to design the Quest for a Cause poster.

I designed sample game sprites for a male MC and a female MC with two different uniforms designs; the school uniform and a gunslinger version of the school uniform.

Quest for a Cause Characters & Posters 2013

This design project was requested by a start-up event organiser (who approached me during an anime & pop culture convention) who wanted an adventurer trio of characters as mascots for the ‘Quest for a Cause’ live RPG event promotional material. I designed the party of three character mascots, and used them to design the promotional poster and a web banner. Hilariously, this was a graphic design project given to me before I properly studied graphic design. (¬‿¬)

These were the initial character design sketches of the trio party mascots that I made, and a design for each character was selected from these sketches.

My drafts and further refinement of the designs. I didn’t end up using these colours in the final piece, but I did use the overall tonal value in their final grayscale version.

2010 Art Commission Compilation

Some commissions and art requests I made in 2010. This was the first year of my arts and animation degree in university. On the side, I took some art requests and commissions for people on DeviantArt. My anatomy and colouring techniques started to improve a bit I guess. ヽ(•‿•)ノ

I completed commissions and art requests for various people on DeviantArt at the time. Above, two were anime portraits of the requester and two contained original characters created by the requester for certain existing anime.

This art request was from someone who liked my eye tattoos design from this post and wanted me to redraw the dragon part of the tattoo to look more dragon-like, so this was my take. (づ ◕‿◕ )づ

2009 Art Compilation

Some art and sketches I made in 2009. This year was also the final year of my high school education and where my art class was doing projects for the end-of-year school arts exhibition. So I drew a lot and discovered I wasn’t very good at drawing body proportions.

A piece I did for my final year art project.

This was one of my first attempts at drawing a semi-realistic body with digital painting. It wasn’t very easy at all and I learnt many things trying to get this to look proper. This piece was too cringy for me to put into it’s own post. (ㆆ ᴗ ㆆ)

2007 Art Compilation

A few art and sketches I made in 2006-2007 where I first started playing around with a scanner and Adobe Photoshop as my very first digital art software.

One of the first subjects I liked drawing when I started digital art was cat girls and Japanese-themed things, inspired by watching anime while growing up. This was initially sketched on paper, scanned and rendered in Photoshop. I played a lot with the sakura flower brush in this piece.

One of my all time favourite childhood anime I enjoyed watching was Rurouni Kenshin, and I was obsessed with the character Seta Soujiro. This was a pencil sketch render on paper of Soujiro and two original characters (OC) I created to go with him in a fanfic that I wrote and never finished. (⌒_⌒;)

The top half of the body was traced from a fanart I found on Google that I loved at the time and I completed the rest of the lower body. The background of the coloured version was also found on Google.

My very first art request by someone from DeviantArt, an OC called Tsubaki.

It must be pretty obvious by now that I liked drawing kimonos and spamming a certain sakura Photoshop brush in my early digital art years. ┐(´∀｀)┌

All these illustrations was originally posted on DeviantArt and I eventually took them down.
