Quest for a Cause Characters & Posters 2013

This design project was requested by a start-up event organiser (who approached me during an anime & pop culture convention) who wanted an adventurer trio of characters as mascots for the ‘Quest for a Cause’ live RPG event promotional material. I designed the party of three character mascots, and used them to design the promotional poster and a web banner. Hilariously, this was a graphic design project given to me before I properly studied graphic design. (¬‿¬)

These were the initial character design sketches of the trio party mascots that I made, and a design for each character was selected from these sketches.

My drafts and further refinement of the designs. I didn’t end up using these colours in the final piece, but I did use the overall tonal value in their final grayscale version.

All these illustrations were created using PaintTool SAI with Wacom tablet and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop. The final posters was originally posted on DeviantArt and eventually I took them down.
