  • Digital painting of a lake landscape where the lake mirrors the blue sky above.

    Mirror Lake 2009

    This is another digital painting I did for my final year high school art project. This was a finalised piece that I displayed as a print at my school’s art show. I experimented mostly with creating texture with a round brush, though the texture in the trees was created using a textured brush.

    This painting was originally posted on DeviantArt and I eventually took it down.

    A digital painting I did for my final year high school art project. More of a landscape practise piece, testing out the digital brushes, experimenting with colour and getting used to drawing on my drawing tablet.

    A wondrous garden of imagination,

    A landscape filled with great sensation.

    You will not leave for any reason,

    As you visit the garden of four seasons.

    While colourful songbirds chirp to sing.

    The sun in summer is gold and bright,

    As the warmth touches your face so light.

    Have you felt the autumn wind by any chance?

    Gathering leaves as it twirls you in a graceful dance.

    Catch the winter’s soft, white snowflake,

    And build the biggest snowman you can make.

    A beautiful paradise with breath-taking views,

    Too peaceful, too elegant, too precious to lose.

    In the end, it’s an exquisite art that looks so real,

    A garden portrait hanging on the windowsill.

    Another old poem I wrote while I was still in high school. This poem was written and submitted into a youth poetry competition, where successful applicants got their poem featured in a printed book along with other successful entries. This poem was a selected entry.
