2015 Artist Alley Art Compilation

Some artworks and photos of my Artist Alley tables in 2015. That year, I actually got a job and went on a trip to Japan, so my convention trading got reduced to only three different conventions, all located in Melbourne. I still managed to create some new illustrations and also experimented with a new style of drawing traditional artworks, that I sold that year.

Studio Ghibli prints! [1] Kiki’s Delivery Service, [2] Spirited Away, [3] My Neighbor Totoro.

Chibiterasu from the game “Ōkamiden”.

Art prints of Kakashi Hatake, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki from the anime “Naruto Shippūden”.

Chibi designs and bookmarks of Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi and one more character Sakura Haruno.

Art prints of Sanji, Roronoa Zoro and Monkey D. Luffy from the anime “One Piece”.

Chibi designs and bookmarks of Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and two more characters Trafalgar D. Water Law and Tony Tony Chopper.

Chibi designs and bookmarks of Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, GUMI, Megurine Luka and IA from the character vocal series “VOCALOID”.

All of the above fanart and chibi illustrations were made between 2014 and 2015, with the sets completed in 2015. They were created using PaintTool SAI with a Wacom tablet and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop.

These were some of the fineliner and watercolour fanart that I hand drew, completed and sold in 2015. Featured characters are; [1-2] Kurapica and Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter, [3-5] America, England & Spain, and Norway & Iceland from Axis Powers Hetalia.

All of the above fanart were originally posted on DeviantArt and eventually taken down later.

My Artist Alley Tables

Supanova Pop Culture Expo – Apr 2015

This was the last time I traded at the Artist Alleys under the name ‘Yvee-Chan’. After learning and understanding what branding was, I decided I wanted to be a bit more professional looking with my displays.

Animaga Expo – Sep 2015

My new Artist Alley table name became ‘Studio Yvee’ and this was also when I made the change to my current artist name ‘Yvee Yui’.

AMC Expo Melbourne – Oct 2015

I tried to be consistent with the branding of my signage with the brown colour. But admittedly, it wasn’t a very memorable brand colour. (>ლ)

My overall experience trading my art at conventions in 2015 was good, but since I was at a time were my small earnings at these events were starting to appear not as worth it as a regular job would be, I was beginning to lose some steam in this pathway. Even so, I did still decide to persevere and push on into 2016 to see if better branding would help me earn more money at these conventions.
