2014 Artist Alley Art Compilation
In 2014 I had an artist alley table at five different anime and pop-culture conventions, all held in Melbourne. Unlike in 2013, I had my artist table mostly all to myself this time. I spent a lot of time drawing fanart for trading, but also took up a one year graphic design course in 2014. So, due to time constrains, I didn’t draw as much as I planned, but here are some of the artworks and designs I made for trading that year.

Art print of Mikasa Ackerman from the anime “Attack on Titan”.

Art print of Hatsune Miku from the character vocal series “VOCALOID”.

Art prints of Ruby Rose and Blake Belladonna from the web series “RWBY”.
Chibi-style art prints of Ciel from Black Butler, Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, Usagi from Sailor Moon, and Gon & Killua from HunterxHunter.

Traditional drawings of Levi from Attack on Titan, and England from Axis Powers Hetalia.
These were made with black fineliner pen and watercolour. The few times I actually used watercolour and it came out not bad, though I won’t start calling myself a watercolourist anytime soon. (ʘ‿ʘ)

[1-3] Italy, Germany & Japan from Hetalia, [4-6] Miku, Rin & Gumi from VOCALOID,
[7] Naruto, [8] Luffy, [9] Ichigo.
The above are chibi illustrations I made for turning into bookmarks (right side). These were the start of a series of chibi bookmarks that I drew and expanded upon between 2014 to 2016.
All of the above digital illustrations were created using PaintTool SAI with a Wacom tablet and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop. They were originally posted on DeviantArt and I eventually took them down later.

My Artist Alley Tables
I didn’t take as many photos of my tables as I did in 2013, but here are the ones I did take.

Supanova Pop Culture Expo – Apr 2014
First Artist Alley table of 2014, where I had a few new artworks and mostly selling old stock from the last table I did in 2013.

Oz Comic Con – July 2014
Second Artist Alley table of 2014, where I had a few more new artworks and selling less old stock. This is when I started transitioning from the old set of bookmarks to the new ones. Yes, that is me in the not-very-well-taken photo. (¬‿¬)
Other conventions I had an artist table at (but no photo) are:
- CHAOz Con – Aug 2014
- Animaga Expo – Sep 2014
- Armageddon Expo – Oct 2014
Armageddon Expo was the only convention I shared my table with another artist Enixyy, who I shared a table with at the exact same convention in 2013.
Overall, my experience trading my art at conventions in 2014 was still quite fun. I never did hit it big and I had room for improvement, but I wanted to continue this path a little longer and kept going into the next year in 2015.
