2008 Art Compilation

Some art and sketches I made in 2008, where I also got my very first Wacom tablet (a now discontinued version). I was finally able to draw digitally and play around with other software like Microsoft Paint, but ultimately stayed with Adobe Photoshop.

A gift art I made for a friend’s present.

A girl wearing a red and white yukata, sits by a calm lake at night, staring at the full moon.

In this piece, I tried to imitate the background style of one of my favourite artist Kagaya Yutaka. I was very pleased with how it came out, if only my drawing matched the style of the background. (´ω｀*)

A young girl in a white dress, standing in a grass field with faded wings coming out from her back.

A piece I made for an art competition.

Digital drawing of four different pair of blue eyes.
Headshot sketch of Kurapika from HunterxHunter.
Headshot sketch of Kanda Yu from D.Gray Man.
Headshot sketch of Allen Walker from D.Gray Man.
Face close-up sketch of a teary-eyed blond boy.
Face close-up sketch of a handsome man with brown straight hair.

Practise imitation sketches!

Two done in MS Paint (the eyes and Kanda) and the rest in Photoshop. Notable characters from anime are Kurapica from HunterxHunter (top right), Yu Kanda from D.Gray Man (middle left), and Allen Walker from D.Gray Man (middle right). The lower two characters were from an indie-made online manga that I can no longer remember the name of now. (ಥ_ಥ)

All these illustrations was originally posted on DeviantArt and I eventually took them down.
