This is an Indie Website

In response to the growing trend of tech corporations exercising their self-given right to use and abuse their web users’ data and limiting users’ activities on their platforms, I have taken my own measures to take back my data and thus ventured to build my own website as you are reading this message from right now.

This move was inspired by the work of the IndieWeb community, a movement that subscribes to the principles of owning your online domain, data, content and identity. I was already making moves to make this leap in the last few years, but finally took the full plunge when I discovered this movement and their library of information that helped me bring this website to life.

My principle will be that I post all my online art and written content on my own platform (this website) FIRST before I post them on any other social platform. This, in the IndieWeb space, is called POSSE or ‘Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere’. This website will be treated as my own personal project; a self-archive of my online creative works and a place where I can be myself and receive support for my work without excessive corporate fees and nonsense algorithms getting in the way.
