Artist’s Block Chocolate Label & Packaging 2014

Chocolate packaging design project for my graphic design course in 2014. I was given a mock brand of chocolates to make labels and packaging for, one for a 35% cocoa version and a 80% cocoa version. This was my take on the brief.

“Organic Little Blocks of Joy” was my own made-up slogan for the product. The brown paper packaging was a decision I made to give the product a very organic and environmentally sustainable look and feel.

Created entirely in Adobe Illustrator.

My initial thumbnail sketches before selecting my final design.

I decided to go with the emoji blocks instead of the blocky bunny because I thought the emojis fit the artist’s block concept better. The blocky bunny was a bit too generic. It would have been cool if the actual chocolate blocks themselves had little faces on them. (≧▽≦)
