2007 Art Compilation

A few art and sketches I made in 2006-2007 where I first started playing around with a scanner and Adobe Photoshop as my very first digital art software.

One of the first subjects I liked drawing when I started digital art was cat girls and Japanese-themed things, inspired by watching anime while growing up. This was initially sketched on paper, scanned and rendered in Photoshop. I played a lot with the sakura flower brush in this piece.

One of my all time favourite childhood anime I enjoyed watching was Rurouni Kenshin, and I was obsessed with the character Seta Soujiro. This was a pencil sketch render on paper of Soujiro and two original characters (OC) I created to go with him in a fanfic that I wrote and never finished. (⌒_⌒;)

The top half of the body was traced from a fanart I found on Google that I loved at the time and I completed the rest of the lower body. The background of the coloured version was also found on Google.

My very first art request by someone from DeviantArt, an OC called Tsubaki.

It must be pretty obvious by now that I liked drawing kimonos and spamming a certain sakura Photoshop brush in my early digital art years. ┐(´∀｀)┌

All these illustrations was originally posted on DeviantArt and I eventually took them down.
